Self-Awareness

like to define "consciousness" as what you pay attention to in daily life.
It involves being attentive.
It's the information you gather from your worldview.
Your consciousness is actively absorbing and analysing data from your surroundings.
It has to do with how you live.
There are several things to observe every day, every hour, and even every minute.
Take moment to look up from this blog page and slowly survey your surroundings.
What have you observed?

Which details can you describe?

I'm more unaware.
Actually not completely unaware, but more hyper-focused on a certain aspect of the same event my friend and I are witnessing.

I tend to be very aware of people. I easily remember people’s names. I feel their vibe. I notice how people interact with each other in a group. I catalog their stories in my brain. I can pick up conversations exactly where we left off even if months have passed.

On the other hand, my friend will pay attention to the physical characteristics and behaviours of everyone, including strangers.
People who I know or who pique my interest usually catch my attention more.
There is no right or wrong awareness.
Just different, that's all.
It's habit we all have.
What Exactly Is "Self-Awareness"?

If being "conscious" involves seeing things in the outside world, being "self-aware" involves focusing that awareness on oneself.

It's your capacity to pay attention to your emotions, bodily sensations, reactions, routines, behaviours, and thoughts.
As if someone else were watching you, you are conscious of all those various facets of yourself.

Paying attention to your intuition, commonly referred to as your sixth sense or your gut feeling, is another way to look at it.
